QA Tech 156-PRN2541S, Needle Tip, 156mil

The QA Technology 156-PRN2541S is a conventional spring probe from the 156-25 series: 156 mil (3.96 mm) centres with 0.250 in (6.35 mm) full stroke and a 0.167 in (4.24 mm) working stroke. This is the coarsest of QA Technology's conventional pitches — the series to reach for when test points are widely spaced and the priority is current-carrying capacity and mechanical robustness rather than density.

The ordering code resolves as follows. N is the tube material: nickel silver, no finish, with under 15 mΩ average resistance and a 16 A rating at 120 °C (22 A at 204 °C) — the economy option of the three tube materials, where an H or S tube would buy lower resistance and a higher current rating. 41 is the 30° spear tip at ø0.068 in (1.72 mm), a concentrated point for small, positively located targets. S is the standard spring at 6.0 oz (170 g / 1.67 N) at working stroke, rated for a million cycles. Probes press into a 156-SD 250S socket.
