Ingun SKS-215 002 180 A 0802 MF Switching Probe, Flat Tip, 100mil

The INGUN SKS-215 002 180 A 0802 MF (INGUN item SKS-215-0226) is a switching probe, used for presence checking rather than electrical measurement. As the fixture closes, the plunger is pushed back and an internal contact changes state at a defined point in the travel, so the tester can confirm that a board — or a component, connector or heatsink on it — really is present and correctly seated before the test sequence starts.

The 002 head is a flat plastic face 1.8 mm across with the contact surface insulated, so the probe registers presence without making an electrical connection to whatever it touches. It screws into a KS-215 M-F receptacle with an M1.6 thread and its installation height is adjustable, which lets the switching point be tuned to the fixture stack-up on assembly.
