Ingun GKS-100 233 106 A 3000 Probe, Crown Tip, 100mil

The INGUN GKS-100 233 106 A 3000 (INGUN item GKS-100-0225) is a spring-loaded test probe for the 2.54 mm (100 mil) grid, seated in a KS-100 receptacle so probes can be changed from the top of the fixture as tips wear.

Tip style 33 is a self-cleaning 3-point crown. The three points land on the target together and share the load, so the probe bites through oxide and residue without concentrating everything on a single needle point — and because the points straddle a rounded target rather than sitting on top of it, a crown holds position on a solder bump or a trimmed lead far better than a flat or bullet-nosed tip. At 1.06 mm the crown is compact for the 100 mil (2.54 mm) range. The 3 N spring is the heaviest commonly stocked, chosen here to drive those three points home on stubborn targets; if board loading matters more than penetration, a 1 N or 2 N variant of a similar geometry is the better trade.
