The INGUN GKS-100 217 170 A 2000 (INGUN item GKS-100-0033) is a spring-loaded test probe for the 2.54 mm (100 mil) grid, seated in a KS-100 receptacle so it can be replaced from the top of the fixture without disturbing the wiring.
Tip style 17 is a hexagonal pyramid with cutting edges, self-cleaning — several edges land together and cut through oxide, flux residue and lead-free pad finishes, which makes it the workhorse tip for real production boards. At 1.7 mm it is the largest 17 face in the 100 mil (2.54 mm) range, so it suits generous test pads and tolerates a little positional error. This is the 2 N version: mechanically identical to the 1 N variant stocked alongside it, with pre-load raised from 0.35 N to 0.66 N. Step up to it when a lighter probe is giving intermittent readings on oxidised pads; stay at 1 N when aggregate board load across a dense field is the binding constraint.
