Ingun GKS-100 204 130 A 1000, Crown Tip, 100mil

The INGUN GKS-100 204 130 A 1000 (INGUN item GKS-100-0116) is a spring-loaded test probe for the 2.54 mm (100 mil) grid, seated in a KS-100 receptacle so it can be replaced from the top of the fixture without disturbing the wiring.

Tip style 04 is a four-point crown. The four points straddle a rounded target and grip it from all sides, which is why a crown holds position on a pin, a post or a trimmed lead far better than a flat or bullet-nosed tip would — INGUN list this item for contacting pins, posts and pads alike. Splitting the load four ways also lets it bite through light oxide without the punch-through risk of a single needle. At 1.3 mm the crown is the mid-size face in the 100 mil (2.54 mm) range. The 1 N spring is the lightest commonly stocked, which keeps aggregate board load down when a whole field of these lands at once.
