Ingun GKS-100 201 090 A 1000 Probe, Needle Tip, 100mil

The INGUN GKS-100 201 090 A 1000 (INGUN item GKS-100-0056) is a spring-loaded test probe for the 2.54 mm (100 mil) grid, seated in a KS-100 receptacle so it can be pulled and replaced from the top of the fixture.

Tip style 01 is a 30° needle point, self-cleaning — the sharpest geometry in the range. On a 100 mil (2.54 mm) grid the reason to choose it is not density but penetration and self-centring: the point breaks surface film on a bare via or plated hole and drops into it rather than skating to the rim, which is what you want when the test target is a via rather than a dedicated pad. At 0.9 mm it is the standard needle for this series. Be aware it will leave a witness mark on a soft pad; for finished surfaces the 05 bullet nose is the better tip. The 1 N spring is the lightest commonly stocked, keeping aggregate board load down on a large field.
