The GP-2U is a spring-loaded guide pin with an umbrella tip, used to locate a PCB in a FixturFab test fixture. The board drops over the pins, which fix the DUT in X and Y so every probe in the field lands on the same pad cycle after cycle.
The umbrella head flares out above the locating diameter, so it both guides the board in and gives it a defined surface to rest against instead of letting it settle onto the pin shoulder. Studio offers the GP-2U for DUT tooling holes of 2.5 mm and up; where the board's datum holes are smaller, the pointed-tip GP-2S drops that down to 2 mm. This is the standard-length version — the GP-2UL is the same head on a longer body for the taller Dev Pro cartridges. Installed as part of the probe-plate assembly.
