A generic R50-series receptacle for fine-pitch probe fields, with a solder-cup termination. It is pressed into the fixture's probe plate and the spring probe seats in it, so probes are exchanged during maintenance without any wiring work.
At a 1 mm mounting hole the R50 is the smallest of the generic R-series bodies, for boards whose test points will not lay out on a 75 mil grid. This is the solder-cup version — the default for a hand-soldered fixture, where the other R50 variants offer wrap or post terminations instead.
In Studio this receptacle is paired with the generic P50-A2, P50-B1 and P50-LM2 probes.
