Generic P75-LM3 Probe, Star Tip, 75mil

The P75-LM3 is a spring-loaded test probe from the generic P75 family, used to make temporary contact with a test point on a PCB during in-circuit and functional test. It mounts in a matching receptacle in the fixture's probe plate so probes can be swapped from the top as tips wear.

The P75 family is the middle tier of the generic range — closer-pitched than P100, more robust than P50 — with a 1.73 mm (68 mil) minimum centre distance, about 2 mm of working travel and a 100 g spring. The LM suffixes in this family denote multi-point tips, the style to reach for when a single-point probe reads intermittently on oxidised or lead-free pads, since several points share the load and bite through surface film rather than riding on it. All P75 variants share the same body and receptacle, so tip styles can be mixed across one fixture without changing the probe plate.
