Generic P50-Q1 Probe, 50mil

A P50-series spring test probe for use with a matching P50 receptacle in a fixture's probe plate. The P50 class is the 50 mil (1.27 mm) pitch family — the fine-pitch option used when a board's test points are packed too tightly for 75 mil (1.91 mm) or 100 mil (2.54 mm) probes, typically fine-pitch connector fields, escape vias and dense test-point arrays.

Working at this pitch means accepting the family's trade-offs: a slender barrel that is less tolerant of side loading than a coarser probe, a lower current rating, and tighter demands on probe-plate hole accuracy. In return you get contact density no coarser probe can reach. Like the rest of the P-series it seats in a receptacle rather than mounting directly, so worn probes are pulled and replaced without disturbing the plate or the wiring.
