The Dev Pro XL Cartridge, MDF is the exchangeable probe-plate and pressure-plate assembly for the FixturFab Dev Pro XL test fixture base. At 232 × 151 mm it takes a noticeably wider board than the standard Dev Pro cartridge’s 170 × 145 mm while keeping the same stack-up and the same four-fastener swap.
MDF is the economical plate material here, rated for about 1,000 test cycles — the right call for EVT and early DVT work when board changes are still expected. Move to the G10 version of the same cartridge once the design settles and the fixture needs to hold position over a longer run.
