The Dev Pro Cartridge, MDF is the exchangeable probe-plate and pressure-plate assembly for the FixturFab Dev Pro test fixture base. Unlike the fixed-plate Dev fixtures, the Dev Pro is built around this cartridge: four corner fasteners release it, so swapping to a new board revision or a fresh replica is a benchtop job of under a minute while the base, actuation and instrumentation stay put.
MDF is the economical plate material, rated for about 1,000 test cycles. It suits EVT and early DVT work where the board is still moving and the cartridge will be rebuilt anyway; the G10 version of the same cartridge is the choice once the design settles and the fixture has to hold accuracy for longer. Top probing is supported; there is no automated side probing, though cables can be connected by hand to right-angle connectors.
