The Dev Cartridge, MDF is the probe-plate and pressure-plate assembly for the FixturFab Dev test fixture base. It holds the test probes, pressure pins and DUT locating features, so the fixture base, its hinge and its wiring are reused while the cartridge is rebuilt for each board.
MDF is the low-cost plate material in the Dev range and is rated for about 1,000 test cycles — enough for bring-up, a firmware debug campaign or a short validation run, and cheap enough to treat as disposable when the board is still changing. Step up to the G10 version of the same cartridge when the fixture has to stay in service longer or dimensional stability matters. Top probing is supported; there is no automated side probing, though cables can be connected by hand to right-angle connectors on the DUT.
