The Centalic PQ75-B-4GG is a spring-loaded in-circuit test probe for fixtures laid out on 1.91 mm (75 mil) centres. It runs in an RQ75 receptacle pressed into the probe plate, so a worn probe is pulled and replaced by hand without touching the wiring.
The 75 mil (1.91 mm) size is the usual compromise in a bed-of-nails fixture: a sturdier barrel and higher contact reliability than 50 mil (1.27 mm) probes, in a pitch most test-point maps can accommodate. The B head is a needle (spear) point on a 0.64 mm plunger, concentrating all the spring load on one point so it penetrates no-clean residue on small pads and vias. At 4 oz (112 gf) the spring is the lightest of the three PQ75 options.
- Needle (spear) tip; plunger diameter 0.64 mm, barrel diameter 1.02 mm
- Recommended minimum centre spacing 1.91 mm (75 mil); mounting hole Ø1.35 mm
- Rated stroke 4.30 mm, full stroke 6.35 mm
- Spring force 112 gf (4 oz)
- Current rating 3 A continuous; contact resistance 40 mΩ
- Receptacle brass and barrel bronze, both gold plated; plunger BeCu; spring music wire, gold plated
- Used with RQ75 series receptacles
