Centalic PQ100-H5-5.5GG Test Probe, Crown Tip, 100mil

The Centalic PQ100-H5-5.5GG is an ICT spring probe on 2.54 mm (100 mil) minimum centres — the standard workhorse pitch for in-circuit and functional test fixtures, and the most forgiving of the Centalic PQ range to build and maintain. It mounts in a matching PQ100 receptacle so worn probes are swapped without disturbing the plate.

The H5 tip is a crown: a ring of points around an open centre. The points bite through flux residue and oxide on a solder joint while the crown shape stays tolerant of landing error, and the open centre lets debris clear instead of packing into the tip. It is the general-purpose ICT tip, and the default choice unless a target is unusually small (use a needle) or unusually delicate (use a cupped or radiused tip). The 5.5GG suffix denotes the 150 gf (5.5 oz) spring, a mid-range force in a family that runs from 56 gf up to 312 gf — firm enough for reliable contact without driving total probe-field load unnecessarily high. The PQ100 also has the lowest contact resistance in the range at 30 mΩ maximum.
