The Centalic PE75-U-5.5GG is an ICT spring probe on 1.91 mm (75 mil) minimum centres — the middle pitch in Centalic's PE range, dense enough for most modern boards without the handling fragility of a 50 mil (1.27 mm) probe. It mounts in a matching PE75 receptacle in the probe plate, so worn probes are pulled and replaced without touching the plate or the wiring.
The U tip is a crown: a ring of points around an open centre that bites through flux residue and light oxide on solder joints, tolerates small landing errors and lets debris clear instead of packing in. It is the general-purpose choice for a mixed board — move to a needle tip only where a target is too small for the crown to sit on, and to a cupped tip where the target is a round lead. The 5.5GG suffix denotes the 150 gf (5.5 oz) spring, the lightest of the four PE75 force options (150 / 200 / 227 / 300 gf), which makes this the variant to specify when the probe count is high and total board load is the constraint.
