The Centalic PE75-A-5.5GG is a spring-loaded in-circuit test probe for fixtures on 1.91 mm (75 mil) centres, running in an RE75 receptacle pressed into the probe plate.
The A head is a cupped (concave) tip 1.30 mm across. The cup captures a round target and holds it centred, so it is the head for component leads, wire ends, solder bumps and filled vias rather than flat pads. It is fitted here with the lightest PE75 spring, 5.5 oz (150 gf); step up to the 7.2 oz version where the lead is oxidised or the cup needs to seat harder.
