The GKS-550 body puts that tip on a 34.6 mm probe rather than the 43.2 mm of the equivalent GKS-050, with the full 4.3 mm working stroke retained — the choice when the fixture stack-up is shallow. This is the heavier-sprung of the two stocked variants: 1.5 N against 1 N, pre-load 0.66 N against 0.44 N, and a 3 A rating against 2 A. Reach for it when the 1 N probe reads intermittently on oxidised or reworked pads.

Tip style 07, 90° 3-edged chisel, self-cleaning; tip diameter 0.9 mm (0.035 in)

Barrel diameter 0.78 mm (0.03 in), total length 34.6 mm (1.36 in)

Grid pitch 1.27 mm (50 mil); minimum centre distance 1.22 mm (48 mil)

Spring force 1.5 N at working stroke, pre-load 0.66 N

Working stroke 4.3 mm, maximum stroke 6.35 mm

Current rating 3 A, contact resistance 20 mΩ typical

CuBe plunger, gold-plated

Receptacles: KS-550, KS-550 WL

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0653/5387/5558/files/b3bfb5e11e457dd1b9c293e5858041fa_1df0f7aa-8c74-4a0c-8c25-daa59d0f68cc.png?v=1788927623
