Because the whole spring force is concentrated on one apex, it produces the highest contact pressure of any tip in the family — the reason to choose it is conformal coating, oxide or stubborn no-clean flux that a crown or chisel skates over. At ø0.9 mm the head is fine enough to land inside a via or on a small pad. This is the 1.5 N version of the same geometry as the 2000-spring GKS-100 291 090 A 2000; pick this one when total probe-field load matters and 1.5 N is still enough to break through. Expect the tip to witness the target.

91 dagger, self-cleaning tip, ø0.9 mm (.035 in), steel, gold-plated

2.54 mm (100 mil) grid, barrel diameter 1.37 mm (.053 in), collar height 00

Total length 33.4 mm (1.31 in)

Working stroke 4.3 mm (.169 in), maximum stroke 6.35 mm (.25 in)

Spring force 1.5 N (5.39 ozf) at working stroke; pre-load 0.49 N

5 A rated current, typical resistance 20 mΩ

Contacts pads and vias; plug-in mounting in KS-100, quick-exchange

Operating range −40 °C to +80 °C; RoHS-compliant
