It plugs into a KS-100 receptacle, so worn probes can be pulled and replaced with the quick-exchange system without disturbing the probe plate or the wiring.

The 14 tip is a self-cleaning 4-point crown: the points bite through flux residue and oxide on solder joints, and the open centre lets debris escape rather than packing into the tip. At ø1.3 mm it is the general-purpose head size for 100 mil (2.54 mm) work, large enough to be forgiving of fixture tolerance on pads, posts and pins. The 2000 spring (2 N at working stroke) is INGUN's standard force for this family — step down to the 1500 or 1000 variants when total probe-field load or board flex is the constraint.

14 4-point crown, self-cleaning tip, ø1.3 mm (.051 in), steel, gold-plated

2.54 mm (100 mil) grid, barrel diameter 1.37 mm (.053 in), collar height 00

Total length 33.4 mm (1.31 in)

Working stroke 4.3 mm (.169 in), maximum stroke 6.35 mm (.25 in)

Spring force 2 N (7.19 ozf) at working stroke; pre-load 0.66 N

5 A rated current, typical resistance 20 mΩ

Contacts pads, posts and pins; plug-in mounting in KS-100, quick-exchange

Operating range −40 °C to +80 °C; RoHS-compliant
