That is what you want on a small, clean test pad or land where a crown head would overhang, and where the fixture must land exactly on target. Paired here with the 2000 spring — 2 N, the family's strongest common force — making this the highest-pressure combination in the GKS-100 range and the one to reach for when flux residue is defeating gentler tips. It is rated for pad contact only and will witness the surface.

01 30° needle tip, self-cleaning, ø0.9 mm (.035 in), steel, gold-plated

2.54 mm (100 mil) grid, barrel diameter 1.37 mm (.053 in), collar height 00

Total length 33.4 mm (1.31 in)

Working stroke 4.3 mm (.169 in), maximum stroke 6.35 mm (.25 in)

Spring force 2 N (7.19 ozf) at working stroke; pre-load 0.66 N

5 A rated current, typical resistance 20 mΩ

Contacts pads; plug-in mounting in KS-100, quick-exchange

Operating range −40 °C to +80 °C; RoHS-compliant
