The 75 mil (1.91 mm) family is the middle rung between the 100 mil (2.54 mm) GKS-100 and the 50 mil (1.27 mm) GKS-050 — enough density for most modern boards without the fragility of the finest barrels.

The 07 tip is a self-cleaning 90° three-edged chisel. The three edges wipe across the target as the probe compresses, so oxide and flux are sheared away rather than merely punctured, and the load is spread over more area than a dagger would use. At ø1 mm this is a comparatively large head for a 75 mil (1.91 mm) probe, giving good tolerance to landing error on pads and vias. Fitted here with the strongest common GKS-075 spring at 2 N.

07 90° 3-edged chisel, self-cleaning tip, ø1 mm (.039 in), steel, gold-plated

1.91 mm (75 mil) grid, barrel diameter 1.02 mm (.04 in), collar height 00

Total length 33.1 mm (1.3 in)

Working stroke 4.3 mm (.169 in), maximum stroke 6.35 mm (.25 in)

Spring force 2 N (7.19 ozf) at working stroke; pre-load 0.72 N

3 A rated current, typical resistance 20 mΩ

Contacts pads and vias; plug-in mounting in KS-075, quick-exchange

Operating range −40 °C to +80 °C; RoHS-compliant
