The point pierces surface film and self-centres in a plated hole rather than skating to the rim. This is the heaviest of the three springs stocked for the geometry at 2 N, pre-load 0.72 N: the version to specify when a lighter needle is reading intermittently, accepting that a 2 N field pushes total board load up and that a sharp tip at this force will mark a soft pad.

Tip style 01, 30° needle tip, self-cleaning; tip diameter 0.64 mm (0.025 in)

Barrel diameter 1.02 mm (0.04 in), total length 33.1 mm (1.3 in)

Grid pitch 1.91 mm (75 mil)

Spring force 2 N at working stroke, pre-load 0.72 N

Working stroke 4.3 mm, maximum stroke 6.35 mm

Current rating 3 A, contact resistance 20 mΩ typical

Steel plunger, gold-plated; magnetic, plug-in, quick-exchange, RoHS

Receptacle: KS-075.
